How to Install and Use AMIGA Forever 9 R2! (2022 version)

A complete list of AMIGA machines have been officially installed on your PC now, Technically these are all AMIGAs that have existed with their official Kickstart ROMS.
The window is extra explicit with the name of the machines and a simple description at the bottom of the interface. We are going to have fun creating an AMIGA 1200 booster with an accelerator board and some RAM.
For the moment without hard disk but a tutorial will follow to make a configuration with a hard disk of 540 Mo!! (The link will be here:)
For safety, you must copy an existing model, in our case right-click on the “Amiga 1200” model.
A new model appears with the name “Copy of Amiga 1200” in the list of available models.
Right-click on the “Copy of Amiga 1200” model and choose “Edit”
We first rename our AMIGA model in the “General” tab with the name “Amiga 1230 – 50Mhz – 8Mb Fast RAM”
In the “Configuration” tab leave “Amiga 1200” of course but change the “CPU” to the “68030” version which is a more powerful processor and in the “Memory” part, move the bar to have “8 MB” from “Fast” RAM. I also selected the “Compatibility” in “Standard“. If you want precise information on the action of each option available, it’s very simple: Leave the mouse over the element for a few seconds and AMIGA Forever will show you a very complete description of the usefulness of the option hovered over. In my case “Standard” makes it possible to have a slightly accelerated 68030 processor which will correspond to 50 Mhz.
The “Configuration” will therefore look like the one below.
For perfectionists it is possible to make your own description in the “Extras” tab, by choosing the “Short Descriptions” and clicking on “Edit“. enter the desired text and validate twice on “OK”
Here is the final result, the new AMIGA 1230 is available in the list of systems but since this model has no diskette and no hard disk attached, this part of the tutorial has just shown how to do it and the basics. It’s kind of a teaser for the more complete tutorial so don’t worry for those who need more information to move forward.
